Google and Saul Bass

TheeBlog-Google_SaulBassWe all love good films. And if there is one thing we love more – or as much as – movie trailers, it would definitely be opening and closing title credits. Film titles have become an art and category of their own, sometimes even overpowering their own films - think Blue Valentine just to name one. If you’ve been to one of my classes, you already know where this is going… Google celebrates the 93rd birthday of one of Design’s most influential, inspiring and recognized icons, the fantastic Mr. Saul Bass with a lovely reel featuring some of Saul Bass’ most iconic work. Yes! this is the man that started it all back in 1955 when he created the titles for The Man with the Golden Arm, created a beautiful niche and inspired millions of people including yours truly.
